Who Owns This Land?

This bill is definitely right.  I have no idea what reasons can be explained to make you clear.  A confiscating the lands that were previously owned by Confederates is a sure thing.  I am not even sure if those former slaves would like to have the lands so easily, because their pasts mean more than just the lands.  If I think how much they worked without enough meals and sleeps in the past, I really feel must persuade you now.

There was only one reason.  Because a color was different, they had to be treated that way.  There was no free to select their own lives.  We are all here to live our lives.  I know we fought so hard  to get free from England.  If we really meant to fight for real freedom, then I am lost why some of you are still against the bill.  What can I say more about it?  If you are still not clear, There is only one way.  You have to think about your lives how much happy and free those were.  When you fully had meals with your families, they worked on cotton plantation.  They started their worst meals when you were about to go to beds.  They might not be able to eat even that worst food because they had no idea where their family members were at that time.  When you started your days little bit late by late sleeps, they started their days earlier to work without getting paid.  I don't even think they could sleep easily.  Do you think they wanted that way? You were fine if you wanted to take your days off and have a great time at home.  The slaves could not even imagine that.  They were rather afraid if they would get beaten up because their owner thought they did not their best.  Those days were just the same.  They might not know even the dates of each day

Because just the color was darker, they could not have own lives.  You and I know that we are what God  created equally.  I hope this is not only what I think.  Francis L. Cardozo said, "one man owning his thousand, another his twenty, another fifty thousands acres of land. This is the only way by which we will break up that system..."  and this is also related to what J. McKaye said; "No such thing as free democratic society can exist in any country where all the lands are owned by one class of men and are cultivated by another."  If men can't own anything and just work, what do their lives mean actually?  If they have no such shelters, money and anything they need to survive, then how can they start the lives again even after the slavery is abolished?  Giving the lands is such as paying their wages that we did not give previously.

There is no such freedom if men are not able to own property. I also don't think anyone who is against the bill can give any clear reason.  I am sure why some of you are against it because the different color of the slaves or just don't like to give the lands because the slaves used to work on your plantation.  Those reasons need to be considered again.  Slaves were innocent.  They were just used for free.  Now, this is the time to pay them how much they worked with the worst condition.  I know giving just the lands can't be enough if it is compared to half or entire of their lives working on plantation.  We should ask for forgiveness, and we should have to guarantee the better quality of their lives.  Thank you.
