Résumé for Rhandi M. Martin
PROFILE
I am student at George Mason University pursuing a Master of Science degree in Information Security and Assurance. I have recently completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Networking, at Strayer University, where I excelled in my academic program, achieving a GPA of 4.0. In this semester of graduate school, I am taking a course in Wireless Networking, and a Security Laboratory - a practical Network Security class in which the students create, analyze and execute Intrusion methodology and discuss techniques to detect or defeat them. I have also taken practical and theoretical courses in Intrusion Detection, Distributed & Database Security, Secure E-Commerce & Network Security.
I have several years experience performing network, server and desktop support. I am very good with dealing with users of all kinds varying from users with extremely limited knowledge of computers, to expert users, who are computer professionals themselves. In addition to these tasks, I have conducted software testing, and done research and analysis of systems. I have I also have good experience working irregular hours, and working either in teams or by myself.
Since Summer of 2008, I have conducted research with the Center for Secure Information Systems (CSIS) of GMU, developed tools and written papers, and have been published. I have held a Teacher's Assistantship for a Network Security in class, for which I have taught lab sections, graded assignments and even lectured, and I currently hold a Research Assistantship through CSIS.
