Rob Curley, Vice President of Product development for the Washington Post-Newsweek Interactive, introduced his take of Loudoun Extra to students for the New Media Series at George Mason University.

The New Media Series, organized by Prof. Steve Klein, introduces students to the new and emerging forms of online news writing and reporting.

Curley presented a powerpoint presentation discussing a refreshing perspective on journalism.

“The newspaper. It is about the news, not the paper,” said Curley.

Afterwards, many of the Mason students were in awe of the Loudoun County Extra, a local edition of the Washington Post.com.
