Gangsters and their activities are considered as a black hole and a threat to a society. As early as the time of coloniztion on north of America, organized crime had aldreay taken it root and managed to survive till today. Oftenly, immigrants, who were unable to find works, gathered themselves into an organization which use illegal ways to make money and survive. Jack McGurn, reputed gangster, and his sweetheart, Louise Rolfe, who is facing the camera, in court

As the description of the picture say, Jack McGurn and his girl friend are in a court. From this, I can assume that they were put on a trial for some type of offense regarding to law. The room seemed not to be occupied with a lot of people, perhapse, this case or the type of crime was not that serious. From the picture, there were only ten person visible, including Jack and his girl friend. Those who sat behind the two main character might have been the juries or perhaps just the news reporters. They all looked very intense and focus, perhaps they were listening to the judge or the lawer about the case. Jack McGurn's posture made him look calm. He was leaning on his left hand and sort of looking straight at the judge. He wore suit which suggests his wealthiness. Sitting near him was his girl friend Louise Rolfe. She wore what appeared to be the style of her time. We can see the pearl necklace embracing around her neck. Obviously, her dress could have costed a fortune that normal people could not afford. Contrarily, she looked very tense and awared of the camera. Perhaps she did not like the present of the camera.

Jack was shot down at a bowling station

From the information I got from searching the web, Jack McGur was gunned down by his enemy. Historically, he associate with Al Capone and was responsible for a planned mass murder of his enemy. Jack quickly became the right hand of Capone. He was always at Capone side and offered protection for the big man. Jack also discovered and destroyed enemies' plan to kill Capone. Shortly after Capone was capture by the police, McGur was killed. Most people believed that it was an act of revenge from his enemy.
