The ad above is made in the year of 1944. Obviously it is about hair product for men. Beside its prominent purpose, what strikingly worth-mention about that ad is how it is portrayed and advertised. Through the comic characters, we could see a story that the artist/author tries to lay out. The whole thing focuses on one male character who has trouble with his wife. Ironically, the wife anger was cause by the bad hair of her husband. She claimed that he doesn't pass the test and therefore can not be a real man. As a result, she kicked the guy out. Turning for help, he turns to his good friend for advice. His friend tells him about the product named F.N. With that he improves his hair condition and wins his wife back

This ad is taken from the year 1949. It is also about hair product but for women. In the same aspect as the first ad, this one also is straightforward about it purpose. All the viewers could see clearly that this promoting hair product. From the top we can see a slovently drawing that says no body want a bad hair, and down is the portrayal of a beautiful lady with beautiful hair.

Err…..This ad is more of a humorless joke but nevertheless… It is notable that the way that the maker of this ad makes his point crossed. We can see a man with great long hair smiling at his reflection from the mirror.

This picture is taken from a website that promoting product for the consumer, mainly teenagers. From the picture, we can see a happy teenager happily smiling with all those shampoo whirling around her head. This affects the viewer in an affectionate way.
