Peer Review Guidelines

Receiving ongoing, personalized feedback is for many writers the strongest contributor to their writing developoment.

Learning to provide good responses to writers will help you with your own writing immensly. In this class you will be responsible to provide feedback to your peers on four separate occasions: for each of the major assignments and for the final presentation.

The purpose of this feedback is to help your peers to reach their potential as a writer and communicator.

For each assignment there will be a peer review sheet, which you will be required to fill out and return to me and then to the writer. You will be evaluated on the thoughtfulness, specificity, and depth of your responses. In addition you will be assessing your own writing performance; this too will be graded.
