Sounding sea

Before dying, Poe allegedly sent a letter contianing this version of "Annabel Lee" to his litorary executor and personal rival, Rufus Wilmont Griswold.  However when the poem was republished by the Southern Literary Messanger after Poe's death, the poem read "In her tomb by the side of the sea."
