KitchenAid 5-Speed Ultra Power Blender

The KitchenAid 5-speed blender is a high performance blender, designed with a strong motor and a unique four-planed blade which allows food to be chopped, mixed, stirred, pureed, and liquefied. The blender is approximately 15 inches high and 7 inches wide, with a depth of 8 inches.  Its combined weight is 13.2 pounds.  The KitchenAid blender consists of two major parts: (a) the power base, containing the motor, power cord, and finger pad (b) and the blender, consisting of the jar lid, blending blade, and threaded collar with seal. 

Power base

            The power base of the KitchenAid Power Blender is constructed of metal with smooth rounded edges. On the surface is the clean touch control pad, which allows user to turn the blender on and off and choose from the five blender speeds previously indicated.  The base houses the powerful engine and three pronged grounded power plug.  The base stands on four rubber feet to ensure stability.  Built into the bottom of the base is a cord storage system. 

Blender

Blender Jar.  The cylindrical blender jar, complete with handle and pouring spout, is made of heavy-duty, heat resistant glass, and can hold up to 40 ounces.  Imprinted on the glass are measurements in milliliters and meters.

Jar Lid. The jar lid is made of durable plastic to maintain a tight seal with the glass jar.  Positioned on top of the lid is a 2 ounce clear plastic ingredient cap, which can be easily removed to pour in liquids while blender is in use. 

Blade. This oversized blade is constructed of a single piece of stainless steel.  The unique design of the blade allows it to cover four different planes at once.  The blade is attached to a round plastic base and covered with a removable plastic sealing ring.
