Which school will get students a better job?

Two main schools of thought on how you prepare for journalism”

  1. study journalism formally
  2. study something else

This was a quote Chip Scanlan got from Barton Gellman a reporter at the Washington Post in Scanlan’s Which Diploma’s better article.

Scanlan explains that a school’s name on your resume is important however, the skills you learn on the job make have more pull.

There are many ways to learn the art of journalism. School teaches us the basics but experiencing the real world may have more pull in the work force.
