The Internet has evolved rapidly changing the way we gain and distribute information thus creating a need for ifocos.org and people like Andrew Nachison.

Nachison one of the founders of Ifocos and has put on an international conference called We Media with the American Press Institute.

Nachison defines We media as "two words but a really complex idea, the idea that everybody is media."

Ifocos's main goals in We Media are to:

• Conduct Research
• Trend Watching
• Bringing together other interested people from many industries
• New Ideas
• New Media
• Enable a better Informed Society.

Nachison says that "75% of Americans are unsatisfied with the state of American journalism.  That's worse then congress!"

In this day and age most people do not rely on one source to obtain their news.  Many people will use multiple sources in their media pyramid to get their daily dose of news.  Some different sources are:

• Online Newspapers
• Blogs
• Podcasts
• Ipod
• Newspapers
• Television
• Radio
• Text Messages
• Etc.

 

Every day with the internet there is always a new source of information popping up.  Ifocos is set on bringing forth the new and different approaches and teaching others about them through We Media conferences. 

Industries need to connect with the new way of doing things the internet has brought forth and Nachison is one of the people that is helping them do this. Programs like Ifocos and We Media are bringing many companies together to try and create a better informed society.
