Nate Eom, born and raised in the DC Metropolitan Area, has an irrational obsession with food.
- While he loves the area, he despises the sporadic spontaneity of the weather
- He cherishes many different types of food and is open to trying new food
- Some of his favorite food include:
- Korean BBQ
- Chipotle
- Afghan cuisine
- Decadent burgers and fries
|
However, his passion isn't solely limited to eats; writing and reading have been involuntarily chosen to be areas of interest too.
- He primarily enjoys reading fictional sci - fi, horror, and fantasy.
- Additionally, much of his time spent reading is focused on short fictional stories, written by online colleagues.
- While he favours both, his bias lies with writing stories rather than reading them.

As an editor for Volition, Mason's Literary & Arts magazine, Nate gets to satiate his infatuation by reading and reviewing submitted entries.
- While Volition may not be as well known as other Mason publication, we pride ourselves in our work just the same.
- Every semester, we hold "Open Mic Nights" where current students can showcase their talents such as:
- Rapping
- Acoustic Covers
- Stand - up Comedy
- Storytelling
- Miscellaneous ranting and raving
|
His position as editor serves as a nice counterbalance for the more technical aspects of his concentration, Writing and Rhetoric.
