As curator of the New England half of the "East Meets West: Forest and Woodlands" program of the Northwest Folklife Festival, I traveled to Seattle for the 24-27 May 2002 event with 13 folk artists from New England.

I worked at the National Folk Festival in Bangor, Maine, with folk artists from my fieldwork area in the western Maine Mountains and others in August of 2002, 2003, and 2004.
