I am a native Alexandrian (Virginia), born August 9, 1978. I spent my entire childhood in the same house, just off the Quaker Lane exit on I-395. My father Alexis is retired from the U.S. Dept. of Education, and still lives in my childhood home. My sister Valerie (the success of the family) is currently working on her Masters of Industrial Design from the Art Center College in Pasadena, Calif. She is also works in R&D for Disney. My brother is a member of the rockinest rock band ever from Washington, DC, Virginia Coalition. My mother Lorraine lost her battle with cancer in 1991. This is my second and belated stab at a bachelor's degree. Af ter graduating from T.C. Williams H.S. in 1996, I went to Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, where I lived for four years. I started as a double major in physics and English. With more confusion and immaturity than direction, I lost my drive to succeed. From 1999 to 2004 I waited tables, bartended, sold Fords, cleaned condos, &c. Read my GMU application essay for more <yet to be linked> |
