George Mason University Dial-in Access Restrictions
[picture of a bar]
If you are accessing this Web site from a modem via the GMU dialup protocol, you will only be able to access sites on GMU servers.  If you want to access links not on GMU servers, you will have to use a commercial Internet Service Provider.

As of October 1, 2001, George Mason University no longer provides DIAL-IN modem Internet access to GMU students, faculty and staff. The University’s modems will provide access to University resources only. Faculty, students and staff will still be able to use their GMU dial-in to access GMU e-mail, GMU library resources and other GMU Web sites.

FULL Internet access will still be available ON campus, from campus offices, labs, residence halls and libraries.

For more information or questions, please call the ITU (Information Technology Unit) Support Center at (703) 993-8870.

This is not an endorsement; however, Patriot Computers, in partnership with Access Technology, Inc. offers unlimited dial-up internet access. Service is available to students, faculty, and staff on 6 month and 12 month plans.
