When I go through these websites and see the breakdowns of how
to read an interactive fiction, awards for best story or best "NPC" or
none playing character and other awards, all of the articles written about
this and all of the message boards dedicated to this, I do wonder at the
time that people spend on these things and wonder if I consider it literature.
There is a lot of work and research that is going in to analyzing these things,
so it obviously has merit to a lot of people, but as for as it actually being literature,
that remains to be seen.  It is missing a few key ingredients of what is now
considered to be literature.  I looked at several of Emily Short's pieces before I
started my critique because it is hard to critique something without a wide base of
knowledge.  When I critique literature it is easier because I have read a lot of books
by many different authors that I base my thoughts on.

Let us get to the literature critique.  Here I can find some facts and examples to back up
why this might not really be literature.  I will also look into why I might not think it is
literature because I am unable to let go of an old idea of what literature is.
