These are the questions.

  1. Title: New Tab, www.google.com
  2. This appeared because it is the default setting. I can change this by going into settings and changing my search engine preference.
  3. Yes, you can change the appearance. You do this by going to advanced settings and languages. You can also zoom in to the page, which makes the text bigger. Someone could want to do this because different fonts might be easier to read for some people than others. You might also have a BlueTooth mouse and use it from your bed and can't read all the way to your desk.
  4. The default search engine in Chrome is Google. You can access this by either searching in the URL bar, clicking a new tab, typing ctrl+T, or clicking the home button.
  5. I received 314,000,000 matches. I would think 15-25% of the results would be legitimate resources but the rest would be scams of some sort.
  6. Estimating 35,600 results
  7. Legit Resource, Wink wink

    A Prezi

    Bing - 12,300 results

AltaVista (redirected to Yahoo!) - I can't see any search result in numbers, but there are less pages of results when I put the query in quotes.

Teoma (redirected to Ask.com) - Again, I can't see any search result numbers, but there are less pages of results when I put the query in quotes.

Blowsearch - No search result number

    Kartoo - website temporarily unavailable

  8. Since I couldn't find any search results for the other search engines, Google obviously has more results than Bing.
  9. Wolfram seems to be a different type of search engine that works with algorithms but I cannot understand how it even works. It looks way more complicated than Google.
  10. Metasites seem to be a search engine that searches through several other search engines in order to gather results. I do not see how many search results I got. The results seem to be organized by the best match in the title of the page first.
  11. Learn HTML

  12. Mamma - seriously, I have no idea where the search results are listed. The results are organized the same as Dogpile. I honestly cannot tell a difference in the search results, except Mamma seems to have more advertisements.
  13. When searching with Google, after you enter in your search, you can specify your results by different tabs like Images, News, Videos, etc. In searching for the song "medicines by the taxpayers" there are 42,600,000 results.

Web Hosting Sites

  1. Go Daddy - economy is $4.99/mo which gives you a free domain, unlimited bandwith, 100gb of disk space, 100 email addresses, $100.00 worth of Google AdWords Credit, etc
  2. BlueHost is $4.95/mo and has unlimited bandwidth and diskspace, offers a website builder, site statistics, advertising credits, a file manager
  3. SquareSpace is $8/mo for a personal website and offeres 20 pages, galleries, and blogs with 500gb bandwidth, 2gb storage, has fully integrated e-commerce, 24/7 customer support

I would probably use GoDaddy or SquareSpace as a host because they seem to have a lot of notoriety by people with smaller businesses.
