Intro

 

I am a Senior Software Developer at Rex Engineering Group. I have joined REX in January 2021. I have studied and worked in both construction and software industries for the past 12 years.

Most of my professional experience was designing large and small reinforced concrete structures as well as creating computer software to facilitate and optimize the designing process.

I had extensive training in Software Developing, Data Engineering, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Learning (DL), Data Science, and Visualization.

As well, I am skilled in structural design software packages such as: ETABS, RISA LARSA4D, SAP200, SAFE; and Finite Element software packages such as ABAQUS and ANSYS.

I graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structural Engineering and a secondary master’s degree in Computer Science from George Mason University.

PROGRESSIVE COLLAPSE

Ph.D Dissertation

An integrated tool to automate and optimize design structures against progressive collapse.

This software is written in c#. The minimum restriction for design variables, the modular sizes of members, standard reinforcement bar diameters, spacing requirements of reinforcing bars, architectural requirements and other practical requirements, in addition to relevant provisions, are considered to obtain directly constructible designs that will need no further modifications.
