Assignments:
- Send me the details of the company you
worked for last summer, including, at a minimum: Company
Name & Address, Name and Phone number of your immediate supervisor, your hourly pay
rate. Task 1 is due by 5pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2002. You may e-mail me as given above.
- Prepare and deliver a 5 minutes (no
more, no less) presentation about your internship. You
must address what you did, what you learned with respect to the industry, and what you
learned about ethics and professionalism. Use
PowerPoint slides and e-mail me your presentation by 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September
26. You may e-mail me as given above. Presentations will be given on Friday,
September 27 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in a Johnson Center Assembly Room on the 3rd
Floor (probably Room E, but check that day).
- Prepare an updated resume including
your experience from your last internship. This
will be returned for you to revise further based on my comments. Revised resumes are due by 6:00 p.m. on Friday,
September 27. You may e-mail me as given
above (preferred), or bring it to the presentations that day (see Task 2 above). The comments will be available for you to pick up
at my office by 3:00 pm on Friday, October 11. If
you submit via e-mail the comments will be returned to you the same way. Final revisions will be due by 4:00 pm on
Friday, November 1.
A Look Ahead:
If you plan to do an internship for credit next
summer/fall, you will need to register for CEIE 297/397 in Spring 2003 and CEIE 298/398 in
Summer 2003.
