I am Professor of Economics at George Mason University, and a member of the Mercatus Center Financial Markets Working Group, since Fall 2009. I teach graduate courses at GMU on monetary theory and macroeconomics, and an undergraduate course on money and banking.
My books and articles focus mostly on the theory and history of monetary and banking systems, with excursions into intellectual history. I have a new book forthcoming, The Clash of Economic Ideas from Cambridge University Press, about the major economic policy debates of the last hundred years.

I blog occasionally at Division of Labour and host bi-monthly podcasts for Econ Journal Watch Audio.
