Short Assignment #1 -- Due Tuesday, January 27, 2009

First, you must put yourself in a new reality.  Imagine that I (your instructor) have been transported back in time and place to your high school or college.
Red Pill
This happened because I took a red pill that transported me through time and space, but more significantly, it also caused me to instantly learn your native language.

I now know everything there is to know about your language; I am an honor student in the vocabulary, spelling and grammar of your language. Even though I have these wonderful skills, I do not know how to write a good paper in your language. And I'm in trouble.

I am now in a classroom in your country. The instructor has just given an in-class writing assignment that must be completed before I can leave class. I have understood everything the instructor has said (remember the red pill), but I am very worried that I will not write a good paper. Quick! Tell me what to do. Write me a short paper that describes how I should structure my paper to earn an "A." As soon as you finish your paper, it will immediately transfer to my brain back your country. Please help!

Okay, so that's the "new reality." So, write a paper in which you give me the advice I need. You can write it as an essay or a letter. On the top of the page, put your name, the country you are from and what level of school you completed back home.  Use 30 minutes to write your paper.
