Marine Exploration and

In 2005 & 2006, people had the chance to sail a tall ship while serving on the crew and learning about the unique ecology and maritime heritage of the Great Lakes. We also covered Leave-No-Trace skills, strategies and issues related to scientific data collection in marine settings, and strategies related to management of public recreation areas.

The experience was not only be above water, but below as individuals explored underwater ecology and shipwrecks with cutting edge technology- an underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV)!

Check back every now and then as we prepare for new adventures and new programs (We're currently considering an Everglades Canoeing Expedition during Winter Break!
