In this course, we examine a variety of
theoretical frameworks within in which we measure human behavior and
human impacts related to outdoor environments (e.g. National Parks,
National Forests, National Marine Protected Areas). We discuss the concepts of Carrying Capacity, Limits of Acceptable Change, Crowding, and Vandalism. Many of our discussions take place within the context of local and/or global sustainability. As part of this course, we also assess our personal Environmental Impact and discuss how it affects our daily lives. |
