Coyote in Yellowstone

This class examines the different perspectives we have towards our natural environment and how that has evolved over time. Throughout the course we discuss the influence various artists play in communicating nature to people. We examine paintings by Bierstadt, Church, and others, as well as writings by Thoreau, Olsen, and Frost. Music is also explored via the works of such well known musicians as Pete Seeger and John Denver.
