HTML5 Web Resources:
- HTML5 Tags
I chose this particular link because it will give me access to all of the tags I will need in one place. It is also helpful because the page has links to articles that explain the different tags that are on the link.
- Forms in HTML:
This document gives an update on the the different form elements of HTML5. The webpage is great because it gives examples of how to write the lines of code rather than just telling the user. The page also explains outputs and inputs when writing. It then gives an example of how to do it and when would be a valuable time to use it.
CSS Resources:
- Image Gallery:
This little webpage is helpful because it has the code of how to set up an image gallery. It also works as a way to show the CSS person how differnt photos can be formated depending on their sizes and pixilation. It also highlights on how wide 1 pixle is when using pixles as a separation. It is also a good platform to compare the intext styling that can be done or by using a stylesheet.
- Psuedo Classes:
I picked this because this work sheet gives good examples when and how psuedo classes work on link elements. The page also gives you the option to try out creating your own css. The page goes into Psuedo elements, but does not make it clear what the difference between the two are.
- Difference between Class and Elements:
This website is extremely helpful in explain the difference between an element and a class. The origional webpage I found did not explain the difference, but this page does a nice job of making the destinctions clear. It also gives an example of a class and an element.
Color and Design Resources:
- CSS Colors:
I decided to use this webpage because it shows all of the ways/ codes that CSS can support to change the color of a background, a font style, or anything that you want to be changed in the page. The page also has a side bar that links to a webpage that goes to all of the colors and has the codes for different shades of red, grey, black, and others.
- Web Design Patterns:
This article does not show any CSS or HTML code, but it shows you what sort of user interface has the best responses. The page lists the top 5 user interfaces. I will be able to use this because it gives me an idea of different layouts of my homepage.
Aquiring Copyright-Free Images:
- Unrestricted Stock:
This page is an example of a place where I can get royalty free images without having to paying. The page is helpful because it gives you choices of pictures and it is a very basic website.
- What is Royalty Free:
I used this webpage because it was a way for me to have what the different types of copyright images, royalty images, source free images, and other types of images really meant. Sometimes the pages that I would go to to find "royalty free" images really was just a website full of images that had some sort of royalty you needed to pay to use their images. This website explains it all.
