Problem Statement
How might we help people find the right haircut in a fun, and efficiant way?Have you ever wondered what other people really think of your hair? Do you have trouble finding the right style that looks best on you? Our goal is to help fix those problems by letting your closest friends and family, or complete strangers tell you what hair styles look best on you. Take the guess work out of going to the barber or salon. Try Snippet today!
Inception/Research
One day while talking with friends I noticed that many of us don't really know the best way to wear our hair. I then thought "What if there was a way for you to see yourself in different hairstyles, and let other people tell you what looks best." It was through this seed of an idea that Snippet was born. We asked around, and observed many patrons of barber shops and salons to find out what people really need out of an app like this.
Summary
Through doing this assignment I learned a lot about the design process for much larger scope projects like mine, and how much time and effeort goes into the design. Given more time I would likely hash out this idea more, and improve on the design more. There would likely be more features as well.

These are sketches and exercises I did in the early prototype phase. You can see there is another idea mixed in with the idea for Snippet.

This is a look at a postit bainstorming exercize we did to help figure out what features we would want to have.

This is an early design of how the app was going to look/funtion. This design only had the mian page of the app worked out, but it is apparent that The desing stuck, and is still seen in the final mockup.

This is a more coplete version of the wirframe above. This shows how the basic user experience would look like starting from the left, and ending on the right. This is also the flow that is seen on the final mockup of the app.
