Your visit to George Mason may begin in our family room. While parents flip through magazines, children can enjoy our toy collection.

Your child may also work on several fun tasks in the family room. You will be with your child throughout the visit.

Mr. Potato Head, blocks, kitchen supplies, coloring pages, puppets and books! Don't forget that each child will also be given a toy to take home.

Several parts of the study will take place in our kid-friendly electroencephalogram (EEG) lab. We use this computer to help us set up the EEG cap.

Your child will play some simple games on this computer. The button box on the right makes it easy for young children to participate in the games.

The EEG cap looks kind of like a swim cap with sensors. This provides real-time measurement of the brain's electrical signals, much like an arm cuff measures your blood pressure.
