Kevin J. Fandl, JD, Ph.D.

Kevin Fandl is an attorney and a law professor with an interest in international trade law and policy, economic development and Latin America.  He applies an inter-disciplinary approach to his research, using the established precepts of international trade law, contract law and international law, and combining them with the functional tools of economic theory and development.  His primary regional interest is Latin America and, more specifically, Colombia, where he lived and taught for one-year under a Fulbright grant. 

 

Kevin received his Juris Doctorate (law) from American University.  He received his Doctorate in Public Policy at George Mason University and wrote his dissertation on the relationship between rule of law, trade liberalization, and small business in Colombia.  He is an adjunct professor of law at the American University Washington College of Law, where he teaches courses on International Trade and Development Law, International Trade and Intellectual Property as well as Advanced Legal Writing.

Kevin lives in Washington, D.C., with his beautiful wife and daughter.
