Before the Internet, in order to get a diagnosis or prescription for an ailment you had to first call the doctor's office to set up an appointment. If you were lucky enough to get an appointment any time that month, you then went in on your appointed date and waited in the waiting room for at least an hour until the nurse called your name. When your name was finally called you then went into another room where you waited for at least another thirty minutes for the doctor to come see you.

The doctor would eventually come in and look you over for about five minutes, write you a prescription in his or her chicken scratch handwriting and send you on your way with a bill in your hand to pay on your way out.

After your visit to the doctor you then took your prescription to the pharmacist only to wait for them to fill your prescription and pay an outrageous price for the prescription.

That hassle no longer has to exist with access to the Internet. The Internet now provides ways for you to make appointments with doctors, fulfill prescriptions online at cheaper prices, search for a diagnosis that matches your symptoms, or even just chat with doctors. You are able to do all this with just the click of a mouse saving you time and money.
