There are many Web sites online that offer medical advice to those searching. From message boards to live chat rooms, if you have a medical question you can most likely find the answer online.

MDAdvice.com is one place to go to "interact and share experiences, concerns, worries, ideas, problems, conflicts, suggestions, and other information regarding health issues with other members online using message boards, among other things" (www.MDAdvice.com).

Ask a Pediatrician is another site that offers medical advice, this time directed towards childrens' needs. Women's Health Information is a site devoted to women's health. There are many more sites to find medical advice on.

However, if you do decide to turn to the Internet for medical answers, this medium should not replace regular doctor visits. Only your regular physician knows your full medical history. You should also consider the background of the person giving you the advice.
