Writing for the Web Joe Marren, author of the online article, "Writing for the Web", explains to aspiring online journalists important ideas to remember when writing articles. They are as follows: 1) Know your audience: readers want a site that is easy to read and navigate through. 2) Write to add depth: explain the story so that readers almost feel as if they are there. 3) Make sure the story is concise, yet catchy: it is important not to make your story too long, but make sure it continues to hold the reader's attention. 4) Be sure not to forget the important facts: Remember to have "who, what, where, when, and why." 5) Stories should be easy to scan: Break your story up into paragraphs to make for easy reading. 6) Add links to outside sources relevant to your story: Links make your story more interactive for the audience.
