As much as students would love to study abroad, the hesitation of spending a large amount of money seems to be what stops most students from taking advantage of these opportunities.

"The cost of the GMU study abroad is probably pretty much the same as what a student pays elsewhere," explains Joanne Cabe, the Accounts Administrator for the Center of Global Education. " We offer scholarships of $500 for short term programs (summer and winter) and we probably award approximately 20 to 25 scholarships each year."

Many students who have studied abroad have nothing but good things to say about Mason's programs and strongly encourage other students to learn more at the Center for Global Education.

"As far as the internships and study tours are concerned, when you look at the bang for your buck in the time and period you were given, it was really a cool experience," says Patrick Delaney, a senior at George Mason.
