Hah, time to blog...

Yeah it's been a while because I'm busy....so it's time for bullet points!

  • First off, I broke my brand new glasses....got to go see if i can get them fixed locally.
  • Next, I've gotten into WoW and it's pretty crazy. Level 17 Tauren Shaman right now! Woot.
  • Speaking of Woot, we're in the midst of another Woot-off!
  • I'm also getting into the series Rome, though it's only so-so.
  • My classes are great, especially my chem lecture, my cybernetics class, and even animal bio isn't too bad. Also the China/Nigeria class looks to be very eye-opening.
  • My computer has been giving me crap about running WoW for some reason...I think it's the anti-virus software trying to look at WoW while it's running...not a good idea.
  • Everyone should RUSH APO!
  • The ASM event was great success and I might even have an internship for credit lined up for the summer. Pretty exciting step for me.
  • Kate is a pretty nice girl :P
That is all, goodbye!

Upsetting day

Man, everything just seemed to go wrong today. It really was like that....one catastrophy after another, or at least things that seemed as such because of everything else happening. I'd have something go wrong and as I picked up a pen to do something else, the pen would die. In general I'm just very angry and tired. Too much bio too. Also, The Good Shepard was a torturously bad movie. On top of that I think I just killed my new glasses.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Very interesting development against cancer...

Just thought this was cool enough to post.....

http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn10971

If you're lazy, basically it's a pretty cool cancer destroying mechanism.

In other news, I like Flash games (those little games in a window that you can play on or offline)! Here are some of my favorites, mostly found through Digg:

Anyway that's it....only a few more days till I'm back with everybody! Woot!

Long weekend...

No not because I got off from work like a lot of people...(though I did happen to have a day off on Monday) it was a long weekend because I was alone at my house with my parents away in Ohio. The only company was my dog. I don't think he likes me very much either.

Anyway, I'm still very happy about my new hard drive, though I'm still working on getting it set up for linux. Also I get to see Miss Kate for the first time in a long while.

What else...oh, Wednesday is my last day at Orvis and then I go back on Friday....woot!

ZunePhone Ad: Microsoft's answer to Apple's iPhone

This was just hilarious!

Surprise! I got a new HD!

Wow, this thing is so awesome:

7643053 Angle

Yeah, so I met up with a friend this afternoon and she showed me this awesome deal! Said awesome deal happens to be a Western Digital 160GB External Hard Drive for an amazing 80 bucks! I just went on down to Best Buy, picked up one of these bad boys and BAM, I've got over 3 times my origninal HD space. Yeah this is amazing AND it gives me the space to partition out some space for a test drive of Linux (Ubuntu to be specific), which I have been wanting to do for a while now. Here's another pic:

7643053 Alternate View 1

Now I am finally backing up my system and protecting my files in a responsible way. Also, I don't have to delete every large file I get because I actually have space to store it all! I don't have an iPhone, but now the hardware I do have is considerably cooler (and this thing looks sweet too!)

WOOT!

My schedule is fixed!

The iPhone is real!

And Woot.com has an item that I just got and wish I could have known about before!

And that is all I have to say about that!

Where's Waldo in Apocalypto (and brief update)

Well here I have another cool clip. I saw Apocalypto last year (see earlier post on that) and didn't notice this, but these guys obviously did.

Anyway, as it goes with me...I'm mostly just workin right now as always. But tomorrow, Steve Jobs will give his big keynote for the year. I'm very excited to see what Apple will do next, mostly because I really want to get an "iPhone" (real name unknown) if it's any good or the next big iPod option. Actually, i'm SUPER SUPER excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Straight No Chaser - 12 Days Of Christmas

My mom sent this to me...it's pretty funny.

Awesomely cool story!

Check it out. This guy couldn't remember his buddy's address, so made a vague map instead of addressing his Christmas card. And it made it!

Top draw ... card was delivered with this sketch on the envelope instead of an address

Here's the link: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2007000420,00.html.

Hope you think it's cool too.

RE: Registration issues!

So yeah, they just made a mistake and dropped the wrong Rogers (there are 3 of us). They said they'd fix it and everything will be all good. I'm back to 15 credits (11 was rather unsettling).

On another note, today I meet up with a friend for some Magic fun.

And karate later! Woot!

Registration issues!

I am continuously retrofitting my blog/site, so hang in there.

Anyway, I have been having issues with my class schedule. I registered as early as humanly possible for my bio course and lab and had it on my schedule for months. Now it seems that the department has asked the registrar to drop me from the course because I don't have the proper prerequisites. I've already taken two other courses with the exact same prereques, so either they made a mistake (and royally screwed up my schedule) or they have some other weird reason for dropping me. If the latter is true, then they must have serious issues with my grades, which, while not amazing, are above the standards that I am able to determine (the requirements can be cryptic sometimes). Anyway, it's very frustrating and I have to wait till the offices of bio and registrar open tomorrow for any action to be taken.

Otherwise, work has been super super slow (yes, that's "super super"), and I have made next to no sales recently. On top of that I dusted like half the store's horizontal surfaces (mostly the ones that need a ladder). Pledge dusting stuff is really nasty to work with all day long. I get 2 days off though and might see some people.

Also, my parents' planned trip to Ohio has been pushed back a week.

That's all I got....and I'm SOOOOOOOOOO ready for Macworld to debut the new iPhone (rumored).

Website Randomness

Just a few additions. First of all, I deleted all links and stuff pertaining to the pictures and news page, as they have become unnessesary. Until I finish using facebook, I think I will keep all of my pictures on there. I may also play around with some web albums. The news page was just too slow and blogging is awesome (note: I'm blogging this very bit with Flock).

Other than that....lots of working....went to a nice (sort of) dinner with my parents and their friends. The food was a little less than I would have expected at the kind of place that we went so I was somewhat underwhelmed....

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. - Thanks to my anonymous commentor who mentioned the great site Tanga.com. It is very Woot-like and somewhat interesting...I'll give it a go.
