Errata Sheet (Sept 06) Corrections:
Not listed in the errata sheets. Correction to Chapter 10 Geometric Mean calculations. page 546-548.
The computations to determine normalization is incorrect in the textbook.
Correct Example: To normalize System A and System B to System C, compute the ratios as A/C and B/C (NOT C/A and C/B). Thus, the answers in the book for problems 3, 4 are not correct. Also, Tables 11.4 and 11.5 (page 547) are also incorrect as well as the computations for the Geometric Means for A and C at the bottom of page 546.
Table 11.5 on page 547 should read “... when System C is Used for as...”
