Welcome to BIOL 304 - Plant Biology



Biology 304:

Covers the structure and function of plants and other organisms traditionally included in plant biology courses.   BIOL 304 is a part of the core curriculum for the biology bachelor's degree at GMU. 

Course objectives:

(1) introduce students to the study of form and function of plants, fungi and protists.

(2) encourage students to test hypotheses experimentally.

(3) instill an appreciation of the diversity of life forms, their modes of existence, and their evolutionary histories.

(4) discuss ways in which plants are vital for the existence of all organisms.
