The summer semester had multiple focuses but all fit under the theme of DESIGN. This theme became our mantra the last week of class as we combined the tools and lessons we learned throughout the semester and designed two curriculum units and research plans. This semester we read and lived Norton and Wiburg's Teaching with Technology. This reading and corresponding website of activities reinforced the theory and tools of the previous two semesters. We heard back from friends, such as Eisner and Toffler. And, we were reminded of useful acroynms, ADDIE and SSCC. My role of teacher expanded into designer and researcher this semester, and the pride in my profession was heightened by this semester's work.
