CSI 991

Seminar in Computational Statistics:

Bayesian Computations in R

Fall, 2010

Fridays 4:00pm -- 5:00pm, Reseadch I, Room 302

CSI 991 Section 002

The seminar will be conducted in the form a workshop. Participants are encouraged to put R on their own laptops, and to bring them to the seminars.

The main reference text is Bayesian Computation with R, second edition, by Jim Albert. We will work through the examples in the text, approximately one chapter per week, beginning with Chapter 2. The R scripts for the text and other information are available at the author's website.

There are a number of useful books on Bayesian statistics, and we may refer to them or have presentations based on them from time to time.
