I will be writing on either input devices or music programs for computer. I still need to finalize research and deciding which topic would suit the amount of material available. For a paper on input devices, I am interested in focusing on medical issues associated with frequent computer keyboard use, such as carparal tunnel syndrome, and options for dealing with this issue, such as ergonomic keyboards, speech recognition devices, wrist rests, and other devices.
Alternately, if I choose the paper on music programs for computer, I will likely research and discuss programs designed for composing and recording music on the computer, such as Pro Tools and Cubase. With either paper I’ll be using the Unix account and FTP server to put the paper up. I should hopefully be able to put the paper up during the lab on the 30th.
