Endurance
usually relates stamina and
the ability to fight through fatigue. This excerpt uses endurance
to
illustrate the woman's lack of endurance due to the fact that she gave
up looking for her child and realize that in reality, her child is
lost. With the thoughts of wondering if her child is sick or
dead, the
amount of endurance or patience needed to find her child was too much
for her causing her to be depressed and miserable.
