Deena Larsen's Firefly

The poem "Firefly" by Deena Larsen is a hypertext that is interesting in its unique arrangement of the poem.  The poem has 6 stanzas that are easy to read and has different ways of reading the hypertext that makes this poem go on and on because of the 180 ways that the poem can be read.  The poem at first seemed confusing to me because I was not knowledgeable on fireflies at all.  After doing some research and I came to find out that fireflies are what I was taught as a kid to be "lightning bugs", the poem made sense and I was able to grasp the message within the stanzas of her poem.  My interaction with this hypertext was interesting in that I was trying to fully understand what a firefly was, the reasons as to why the number 180 was used in the beginning of the poem, and to apply my research to the poem to be able to accept the poem for what it's worth and the excellence that is within the hypertext.
