Uganda is a country that is like any
other developing country. They want to be up-to-pace with the
rest of the world. They want to have the same opportunities as
the superpowers like the country of the United States when it comes to
accessing information especially government information of their
country. Nasani and Joan Batungi’s web page titled “Applying
electronic-government on land records in Uganda” has information about
Uganda’s progression with e-governance: “The decentralized nature of
the Ugandan polity and administrative system are good indicators that
e-governance will succeed.” (http://www.csdms.in/conflux/Proceedings05/abstracts/2abs.htm).
The mentioning of decentralized nature shows the Ugandan has a
tremendous upside to what e-governance has to offer. When the
Ugandan began to accept e-governance in their society, they will be
economically and politically ready to interact with other countries
around the world.
