STAT 250: STAT/IT 250: Introductory Statistics I
Summer 2006
Homework Assignments:
Note 1: We will require you to type and print all homework solutions involving the use of MINITAB. By this we mean that you must integrate the MINITAB commands used to solve the problem, the MINITAB results (including any graphs) used to solve the problem, and any written answers you provide into the questions. When you work with MINITAB, please always start with the following four commands: MTB > #STAT 250, B01 MTB > #Name MTB > #Homework number MTB > #Problem number Hand work, by which is meant solutions you work out using your calculator, can still be written by hand and then handed in. You should always show the solution to the problem to get full credit. Note 2: Please always staple your homework otherwise it will not be graded.
Note 3: The textbook is accompanied by a CD that contains files for all of the data sets marked with a CD icon in the text. You should use files saved in the MINITAB format. Insert the CD into your computer, go to the Exercises folder, then go to the MINITAB folder and double-click on the name of the file to open it.
