Personal Statement
Knowledge of study design and statistics have served me well:  I love this stuff.

I enjoy helping public administration graduate students learn how to employ study design and statistical methods in public administration projects.  Admittedly difficult is the appropriate use of study design and statistical methods.  But study design and statistics can be learned and used in appropriate situations:  These concepts are important for those of us who practice, teach, conduct research in, and learn about public administration and its applications in government (both civilian and uniformed service) and the not-for-profit sector.

I am willing to help graduate students learn how to use study designs and statistical methods, but I cannot do everything.  I need from you a willingness to learn something new, commitment, attention to course details found in the syllabus, and very good evidence of your progress.  As a GMU graduate student, you’ve got to “earn your way” by completing course requirements.  I promise to offer all students fair and appropriate assistance.

I wish you continued success in all your endeavors.
