Reflection: EDEP 824: Research in Education: Sequence II I
was enrolled in the sequence II course while I was
enrolled in Regression. This proved to be very useful because I would
use apply
what I learned in regression to my data. Again, similar to Sequence I,
Sequence
II was also a very valuable course. I think that one of the most unique
aspects
of this course is that students are provided the opportunity to
independently
develop and implement our own research study in whatever topic that was
of
interest to us. This class provided time and support for analyzing data
as well
as assisting other students analyze their data. As a result, we learned
from
each other and helped one another through the trials and tribulations
of data
organization and analysis. I think that classes like the sequence I and II should be required for all PhD students, not just Educational Psychology students. Because of my experience with the sequence courses, I feel more confident in my research abilities and more prepared to tackle my dissertation. Additionally, this course provided me an outlet to meaningfully apply the research methods and statistical analyses learned in prior courses. Sequence II Research Paper |
