Geo Club

Our mission is to promote interest in geography, geology & earth science and to provide activities which will enable members to further their knowledge and appreciation of these disciplines. The club sponsors field trips, lectures, guest speakers, other social events, and provides funding for students to attend professional conferences, conventions and meetings if funds are available. These events provide students with opportunities to network with top professionals and keep up with the latest changes in their field.

Graduate Student Representative

The Graduate Student Representative for ESP is nominated and elected by his or her peers. It is the representative's job to inform ESP faculty and the university administration of the needs and views of all ESP graduate students at faculty meetings or in other settings.The representative expresses student positions on issues such as course offerings, student quality of life concerns, conflict between students and a faculty member, and student recognition programs.

The representative serves a two-year term and then calls for new elections. Megan Draheim is the current Graduate Student Representative for ESP (Fall 2005 - Fall 2007), she can be contacted via e-mail.

Graduate Student Association

The GAS is a new organization at GMU, comprised of graduate students in the ESP department, or any department for that matter, whose interests include any aspect of biology or environmental policy.
