What do I do?

I officially joined George Mason University on July 1, 2006 to help oversee health professions advising throughout the University. Interacting with students, alumni, faculty, and administrators within the university and contacts around the region, I establish collaborative programs to promote and to encourage students and alumni to pursue careers in or involving the health professions.  As a result, I'm not always in my office, so it's easier to contact me by email to set up appointments.

My position involves advising students interested in careers in the health professions (commonly known as "premedical, predental, preveterinary, ..."). I develop programs to advise groups of students as well as establish the institutional process to prepare students for health professions graduate programs and careers in the sciences.

Yes, I'm a professor.

I am a Term Assistant Professor (non-tenure-track) in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Biology.

For Spring 2007, I will teach lecture section 002 of Biology 213 (Cell Structure and Function), which is under the guidance of Associate Professor Alan Christensen. This class meets on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm (Thompson 138). The teachers for the other two sections are Dr. Gwen Fondufe (Tuesday/Thursday afternoons) and Dean Donna Fox (Monday/Wednesday afternoons right after my class).

For Fall 2007, I teach lecture section 003 of Biology 213 (Cell Structure and Function). This class met on Monday afternoon/evening from 4:30 to 7:10 pm in Enterprise Hall 80. The other instructors were Dr. Fondufe and Associate Professor Alan Christensen (who will teach an Honors section of the course).
