Graduate Student Resources - Academic Policies

The Psychology Department is the largest department within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences - CHSS.  As such, we adhere to the policies and procedures outlined by the Office of Graduate Academic Affairs.  Furthermore, the Psychology Department and CHSS are governed by University Policy which is set forth in the annual Academic Catalog.

All documents/requests requiring the Dean's signature must first be approved by not only your Advisor, but your Program Coordinator and the Associate Chair for Graduate Studies.  Students should coordinate with their Advisor to obtain signatures and forward all paperwork to the Graduate Programs Assistant - Darby Wiggins (Room 2014, King Hall).  The Graduate Programs Office will obtain the signature of the Assoc. Chair and forward the request onto the Office of Graduate Academic Affairs.

For specific policies regarding Grades, Warning/Termination/Dismissal, Fulltime vs. Part-time Enrollment, Degree Time limits, Reduction of Credit, Taking Credit Elsewhere and other Academic Policies, please visit the CHSS Academic Policies web page
