Following exercises 9.2 & 9.3, write an I-Search report on your research findings. I usually assign a progress report for the research paper, but the I-Search serves that purpose very well.
Review and organize your findings into a narrative that explains your progress and changing understanding of your topic. Since you will be writing a full research paper later, your I-search paper should begin to outline the major arguments you will be making.
What were your initial assumptions on your topic? How did these change? What surprised you? What difficulties did you encounter? Did the topic become more narrow? Broader? Move in a different direction?
The report should be approximately 5 pages, double-spaced, and must include a working bibliography (not annotated).
