Field Trip Report
The behind the scenes tour of the Natural History Museum showed us science at work. We saw literally miles of shelves full of meticulously catalogued specimens. In the museum itself, however, you would find far fewer specimens on exhibit. In 2 - 3 pages, compare and contrast the public presentation of science (such as museum exhibits) with the actual work of science (such as the behind the scenes collections). Think about the amount of material on display compared the the amount in the collections; consider also the different audiences for museum exhibits and museum collections.
