Peer Review Questions for Instructional Essay

1) Who is the audience? Be as specific as possible (not "general audience").
Why would this audience be interested in this material?

2) The organization should be strictly chronological. Look for any steps (including preparation) which are out of sequence. Will the reader be prepared to perform each step in sequence?

3) If illustrations are used, are they relevant and clear? Are they labeled? If illustrations are not used, are they needed?

5) Are terms and abbreviations explained on first use?

4) If you were trying to follow these instructions, where might you get lost?
