Introduction

Trying to go back and think in simpler terms is not exactly easy. Interactive fiction is something that has been around for a long time, before Playstations, Wiis, and X box. Games and interactive fiction are similar, yet different. They both allow you to interact with the storyline, but interactive fiction is limited to text only. Interactive fiction does not have any pictures, but only limited text to go along with it. Each fiction would start off with a little introduction in the beginning and from there the player gets to chose where to go and what to do. Interactive fiction allows people to choose their own storyline. The interactive fiction game I chose to play and critique was “Glass,” by Emily Short. Emily Short took a different spin on a classic fairy tale, Cinderella. It is a short game, about five to ten minutes and takes place in one room. After the story is done, players can go back and play it again to see different storylines.
